I woke up and had breakfast, did a little blogging, and hopped into the shower around noon.
As I was blow drying my hair, I felt a warm gush of fluid.
I stopped the blow dryer and stood there, slightly shocked at what had just happened. "Did my water just break?" Before the question could finish itself in my head another gush of fluid startles me. "Yup, my water just broke." I stood there, still is shock and not quite sure what to do. I felt slightly panicked, what do I do first? I decided to finish the simple act of blowing my hair dry before going into total "we need to go the the hospital" mode. I restarted the blow dryer only to hear Sterling behind me asking me what I would like for lunch. Still in a bit of shock I just sort of starred at him. "What's the matter?" He asked. "Ummmm, I'm pretty sure my water just broke.." I found myself hardly able to mutter the words. Like my brain was still in disbelief.. I didn't want this to be another false alarm. It wasn't, and I knew it wasn't but I still had tiny bits of doubt.
We start gathering our items to prepare for our trip to the hospital. Before I knew it, all of our various cameras and phones were charged, the bags were packed and we decided to 'just wait' for contractions to start. Fluid continued to gush causing me to go through nearly a box of maxi pads and at least 3 pairs of pants.
Deciding that I had quite enough of changing my pants (and rapidly running out of pants to change into..) we decided to head to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at around 5:00pm....
