Well, it is very very hard for me to believe, but my baby bear is one year old. Where did that time go!?! I know probably every parent says that about their children, but sheesh! It really does just feel like last month that he was born, yet at the same time, it feels like we have always had him here with us. Interesting feeling. Today I sat (and cried) while I watched his 4D ultrasound video. I was 27 weeks and 2 days pregnant. What an amazing moment that was for us. He is such an amazing blessing in our lives. He gives us hundreds of reasons to smile or laugh every day. He is our very special little guy. Happy first birthday Kael. We love you so extremely much!
For Kael's birthday party, we invited friends and family over for a little birthday celebration. I made lunch and Carrot cake for everyone (including a small carrot cake for the birthday boy)... When I was pregnant, Sterling specifically asked me if I could make a carrot cake for Kael's first birthday. Kael wasn't even born yet! None the less, I promised him that I would. It was pretty yummy, I must say. Here are some pictures from the party. It was a WHOLE lotta fun! Thanks to all who made it out!
